Reflection

Being a part of the ENC 1101 course this semester was an experience that taught me a great deal about writing. I came into this class thinking I knew all there is to know about writing, and now I am leaving this class knowing there is so much more to writing than I had even imagined.

I feel a lot better about the student learning outcomes. To be more specific, I believe I have truly achieved the outcomes writing and power, revision, variation across contexts, and writing processes and adaptation. I feel that these three outcomes were applied greatly in the major writing assignments and through numerous rounds of revision I was able to accomplish these student learning outcomes.

The remaining student learning outcomes of decision making and production and multiple literacies and goal setting, I believe can still be improved. While these learning outcomes have been used within numerous different writing tasks, I personally think I can still expand on my knowledge within these two learning outcomes.

The course was a way for me to continuously improve on my writing through feedback, learn about the different genres and effectively using these genres, and doing revisions to complete the best essay I can deliver. Overall, I found that this class helped me improve greatly in my writing and I can apply all the lessons I have learned within this course in other settings.
