This is one of the first assignments that was completed within this course. It was an essay that I had to read about rhetoric and reflect on. This paved the way for the rest of the course by showing me the importance of rhetoric and how it is applied in different genres.
Each class session began with a writing warmup that allowed each student to write freely once asked a question. This writing warmup asked me to identify what I considered as competent writing. This allowed me to set goals on my writing and reach the expectations of my readers.
This word or punctuation essay was completed as an additional labor task to achieve a grade higher than the base grade of a B. This essay was written on a word that holds a great deak of weight in my house. This once again showed me the importance of language in each individual's life and how it shapes people perception.
This is an example of another evaluation of an essay that was read. This essay was about punctuation and its importance. This reflection allowed me to understand the different components of punctuation and how to use it effectively to produce the best possible essay.
This is an example of a discussion post that was used within the course. This discussion post allowed me to produce an idea and gain advice from my peers. Additionally, I was able to comment on the ideas of my other classmates. This discussion forum showed me that peer reflection is important and gave me insight on the opinions of my readers.
This is another example of an extra labor task. This required me to write a letter. This letter had to follow all the components of the genre and be detailed. This allowed me to adapt to my audience and write appropriately for the genre.
