Information Literacy
Students will be able to evaluate and act on criteria for relevance, credibility, and ethics when gathering, analyzing, and presenting primary and secondary source materials.

Throughout the different research papers and topics that are formulated and investigated, a large component that lies within each aspect are the sources. As a part of this course, I have had the opportunity to determine the credible sources that I will be using for my research paper. A key assignment that has allowed me to identify credible and valuable sources for my research paper are the Library Research Modules.
Within these modules, I was able to learn about the different components that go into effective research and the parts that make a source good for use within a research paper. Many sources can contain a great deal of information, but only a few contain the information that provides valuable insight on the specific topic of my research. Not only do the sources have to be full on content that is applicable and accurate, but they must also show a significant relationship with my investigation.
The Library Research Modules provided a great deal of information that can be utilized in the best way possible. It has allowed me to look for sources in the most efficient and helpful way. Once I have found the sources, I have also been able to connect them with my own findings and research. A lot of what plays into a good research paper is the ability to tie my sources back to the investigation and point I am trying to make.

Another key activity that put this outcome into practice was the Research Primary Check-ins. This was vital to obtain evidence and apply the various research sources into my final paper.
